About me

If you have found this page, something has brought you here. And that takes courage.

Perhaps you are struggling with your own relationship with alcohol or substances. Perhaps someone you love is, and you feel lost and exhausted. Whatever has brought you here — you are in the right place.

My name is Catherine Maraslis. I am a BACP-accredited addiction counsellor based in Greenwich, London. I bring something to this work that goes beyond qualifications — I have personal experience of addiction and bereavement. I understand from the inside how addiction affects not just the individual, but everyone who loves them.

My experience:

Over ten years working in leading London treatment centres, including The Priory and Mount Carmel, has given me a deep, practical knowledge of addiction and recovery. For eight of those years, I ran family recovery groups — because I believe families are too often forgotten in the recovery process.

How I work:

I use an Integrative Counselling drawing on psychodynamic, person-centred and CBT therapies — tailoring my support to what works best for you, at your own pace, in a safe and non-judgmental space.

I work with individuals and families in Greenwich, across London, and online.

Getting started:

I offer a free 15-minute call so you can ask questions and see if we are the right fit. There is no pressure and no commitment. You don't have to do this alone.
